Medinipur Vidyasagar University is ranked in rank band 101-150 by NIRF 2023 under the Management category. Vidyasagar University was established in 1981 by the Government of West Bengal and is approved by UGC. The university, through various affiliated colleges and PG Departments, offers UG, PG, certificate, and several other programmes to students. These courses are provided across the Humanities, Management, Science, and various other streams. The university also offers online courses to students through the Centre for Continuing and Adult Education (CCAE), Vidyasagar University. The university is accredited by NAAC.
