Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, formerly known as West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT Kolkata), is a public state university. It is located in West Bengal and is also known as MAKAUT. The University is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Additionally, it is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Various UG courses offered by MAKAUT are also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology Kolkata offers UG, PG, Diploma, Doctoral and Certificate courses via its 200 affiliated colleges. These courses are offered across multiple streams such as Food Science and Agro Technology, Humanities and Social Sciences, Computer Science and Engineering, IT and Technology, Media Science and Entertainment, among others.
